Donna Bateman Kilbourne is a native of Washington
Parish, Louisiana; living all of her adult life in Clinton, Louisiana.
For many years she has been and still is employed as an abstractor of
land titles in the Feliciana's. While her painting endeavors came
late in life, she has always expressed her creative side in multiple
avenues from flower arranging, to constructing doll houses and sewing.
After beginning as a self-taught oil painter in 1997, she took a series
of lessons from Billie Bourgeois. Donna has also taken workshops
with various teaching artist as work and family schedules have
permitted. She is a member of the Louisiana Art and Artists Guild,
Mississippi Art Colony, and Associated Women in the Arts. Her
paintings have been accepted into Baton Rouge Juried Exhibition 2001;
2002 Annual River Road and 2003 Annual River Road, as well as Chicago's
Restaurant First and Second Juried Show. |
